24-year-old Irish woman Bernadette Hagans lost her leg two years ago due to cancer.

The girl’s leg was amputated above the knee due to synovial sarcoma, an aggressive soft tissue cancer.
Amputation was the only way to save Bernadette’s life. She had to re-learn to walk on a prosthesis, later she signed a contract with the Zebedee Management modeling agency, working with models with disabilities. She has already starred for Primark, and the other day she became the face of the shoe brand Kurt Geiger in the People Empowered campaign.

It’s great when people like me are visible, it doesn’t happen that often. I think we managed to show that beauty can be different and that you can squeeze out everything that distinguishes you from others. I know I don’t have a leg, but I had a leg for 22 years. And some are born without a leg. I enjoyed life on two legs, and now I’m going to enjoy life on one. Yes, I had cancer, but I was given a chance to live, and someone discovers it at the terminal stage, – explains his constant optimism Bernadette.
The girl changes the color of her prostheses every month – she agreed with a car paint company that her artificial leg would change color every few weeks, and now regularly sports brightly colored prostheses – from bright green to chrome, from white to canary yellow.
